I saw this drink machine in Kiryu and checked inside to see if one of the drinks was called plussy. Ah, no. Not at all.  After talking for a few minutes about various possibilities…I, and my friends who were with me at the time, have no idea what plussy is supposed to be.

In Japan, there is Engrish, where the grammar is normally out of whack, and then there is portmanteau; the creation of a new word by combining two together.  (Spork would be a great example – spoon + fork = spork). Possibly that’s the reasoning behind this?

plus + syrup = plussy?

please + use + system = plussy?

please + let + us + serve + sodas + yearly = plussy?

I’m having too much fun with this. 🙂

But seriously…would you like some plussy?
