Fake Food

14 May

A lot of restaurants in Japan have a great way to show what they have on the menu. They make their food out of plastic, and then display it in a window.

For example…Desert King! You can see (hopefully, with the dimness), crepes, soft cream sodas, ice cream, bubble tea and the fruits that are used.

In some cases, the foods aren’t behind glass so you can poke at them, or, in extreme cases….you can taste the dust, it’s so thick. (My favorite dessert place, why must your wonderful cakes be covered in dust! And how, since they’re behind glass?)
