So my husband and I went on Saturday to help out a friend who works at ECC and who needed a few native English speaker volunteers. Where did we go? To Doitsumura, literally, the German Village!
We played English games with the kids, quizzed them on various objects, had a ‘find the native speakers’ scavenger hunt and they asked us a bunch of questions in English.
There was even a sheep herding demonstration, and a sheep shearing one too! A friend of ours asked if he could shear it, but the guy said no. The village was kind of small, but it had German sausage, good beer (we had sampler plates glasses) but it was really hot so it wasn’t as much fun as it could have been.
